20th Annual Top of the Lake Antique & Vintage Snowmobile Show and Ride
Sponsored by Top of the Lake Communities Association
Dates and Time: Friday and Saturday, February 17th and 18th, 2012
Location: Held in downtown Naubinway, Michigan 49762
Daily Schedule:
Friday, Feb. 17th – 8:00am - Breakfast will be served at the Naubinway Pavilion (across from the Museum)
10:00am - Brunch Ride to Cranberry Lodge & Lake, over the river and through the woods (really). Leaving from the Naubinway Pavilion. No sled registration is needed. Any type of sled is welcome.
We will be travelling to a rustic lodge on the Hiawatha Club (12 miles). Enjoy a bonfire with hot dogs, brats and marshmallows, sledding down the hill, and lots of "sled talk". Also take a short ride just like the old days, through the woods, with a guide.
Friday night get-together at the Naubinway Pavilion - Begins at 4:30pm with a meal. Bring pictures and stories!
Saturday, Feb. 18th Featured Sled- Polar (50th Anniversary)
10:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. Show - Purchase a unique Show button for $2 to help support the event. Check out the 200+ sleds on display, and visit the Museum and local shops.
We want to welcome the Go Go Diablo group. They will be meeting at our show for their annual get-together. I'm sure they will be taking them for a little spin. They are fun to watch!
Food Booth & Free Swap Area - 10:00am - 3:00pm
4:30 – 6:00 p.m. – Banquet & Drawings & Auction (Auction items can be donated to the Museum). This includes a great buffet style meal, cooked by the owner of the Beary Patch Restaurant. There will also be several drawings donated by interested locals, and the Museum Raffle drawing will be at 6:00. 4 Show Plaques will be awarded.
The final event will be the Auction, with all proceeds going to the New Building Fund! Most items are snowmobile related (old & new), and any donation is appreciated! Check out our facebook page closer to the event for a list of auction items.
All snowmobile entries are welcome and free! This year’s featured sled: Polar (the beginning of Arctic Cat)

Registration will be held at The Top of the Lake Snowmobile Museum. $5 Museum fee will allow you to come and go all weekend. Paid Museum members are always admitted for free.

Antique Snowmobile Museum Set for Naubinway
Local snowmobile enthusiasts working to build an Antique Snowmobile Museum in Naubinway. The Top of The Lake Snowmobile Museum, LLC has incorporated as a 501©-3 corporation. The sponsoring group is hard at work organizing this new venture. A board of directors has been elected, a site has been selected, and a business plan has been developed. Their goal is to preserve the history of snowmobiling and help make the Naubinway area a tourist destination.
The site is located in Naubinway on the north side of US-2 across from the business district. The planned campus will include display space for up to 140 snowmobiles, parking for 50 +vehicles, a snowmobile literature library, and a meeting room for the Naubinway Elders group of the Sault Ste. Marie Chippewa Tribe and other groups. The museum board is currently seeking funds to construct this museum and is accepting all donations.
