Antique Snowmobile Museum Set for Naubinway
Local snowmobile enthusiasts working to build an Antique Snowmobile Museum in Naubinway. The Top of The Lake Snowmobile Museum, LLC has incorporated as a 501©-3 corporation. The sponsoring group is hard at work organizing this new venture. A board of directors has been elected, a site has been selected, and a business plan is being developed.
The site is located in Naubinway on the north side of US-2 across from the business district. The planned campus will include display space for up to 180 snowmobiles, parking for 50 +vehicles, a snowmobile literature library, and a conference center for the Naubinway Elders group of the Sault Ste. Marie Chippewa Tribe. The museum board is currently seeking funds to construct this museum and is accepting all donations.

TWISTED FINSTER CONCERT
The Top of the Lake Community Association is sponsoring Twisted Finster in concert on Friday evening June 18, 2010. This concert will be held on the shore of Lake Michigan at the Naubinway Marina. Tickets are available at the Hiawatha Sportsman's Club Pro Shop 906-477-6683 and at the following First National Bank of St. Ingnace Branch Offices: Naubinway, Newberry, and Moran Township. This event is being supported by the Quality Inn of St. Ignace 1-800-906-4656. The Concert is being held in conjunction with the Hiawatha Sportsman's Club Triathalon on this same weekend.
Fans wanting to learn more about this event can listen to "Omlette and Finster" morning show hosts on WKLT Radio 98.9 or visit www.TwistedFinster.com. Come and join us "Rock the Bay". All proceeds from this event to benifit the annual Naubinway 4th of July Celebration.
TRIATHLON & SPORTSMAN'S SHOW
On Friday and Saturday June 18 & 19, 2010 the Hiawatha Sportsman's Club will be hosting a 4 person team triathlon. The competition to include Golf, 3-D Archery, and Trap Shooting. Many Clinics and Seminars will be held on Friday. Even if you are not competing in the triathlon, the public is welcome to come and enjoy the clinics or watch the competition. Friday's Clinics include: Archery Techniques; Wing Shooting and Gun Fitting, Building a Turkey Call; Newest and Latest in Cross Bow Sights; Hunting Accessories, Trout Fly Tying. Other Competions include: Hole in One Contest; Steel Deer Competition, Money Bird Competition.

4TH OF JULY CELEBRATION
This year the Top of the Lake Communities Association will host a gala three day celebration. While the details are still being worked out, this years event will begin on Friday July 2 with a children's parade, kids games and teen dance at the Naubinway Pavillion. Saturday's events will include a parade through Naubinway, games for kids of all ages, live music and "Thunder over the Bay" Fireworks display at dusk. Events are being planned for most of the day on Sunday - details to follow. This celebration should be great family fun. Come and celebrate our nation U.P. style.
